Beth White and Carli Mareneck cofounded Trillium Performing Youth (TPY) in 1998. Over the years the company has ranged from seven to eleven 15-18 year old dancers from four rural counties. We are dedicated to providing strong dance training, with both Trillium and guest dance teachers/choreographers in weekly classes, September-May. TPY provides FREE concerts at TOOT, the WV State Dance Festival, at schools and for the elderly and receives tremendously positive feedback from the audiences. Many of the populations we perform for are getting exposure to the live arts for the first time in their lives-whether they are kindergarteners or elders. Audience members participate on stage between pieces! TPY welcomes visitors at performances with prearrangements required.
